Flower stitch
- Put yarn to back of work, slip as if to purl next 5 sts to RH needle dropping extra wraps. (Put yarn to front of work, slip them back to LH needle. Put yarn to back of work, slip again to LH needle) twice.

Knitted in a multiple of 6 sts + 1.
Flower Edging.
Row 1 - Wrong side: Knit 1, * (knit the next stitch wrapping the yarn 3 times around the needle) 5 times, knit 1; repeat from * to end.
Row 2 - Right side: Purl 1, * flower stitch, purl 1; repeat from * to end.
Row 3 - Wrong side: Knit all sts.

PATTERN

Work on a pair of double point needles or on a circular needle.
Cast on loosely an odd number of sts with color A.
Set-up row: Using color B, k1,  * yf sl1yo, k1; rep from * to end. Do not turn, slide sts back to opposite end of needle.
Row 1: Using color A, sl 1, * brp1, sl1yof; rep from * to last 2 sts, brp1, sl 1. Turn work.
Row 2: Using color B, p1, * sl1yof, brp1; rep from * to last 2 sts, sl1yo, p1. Do not turn, slide sts back to opposite end of needle.

Abbreviations.
Sl1yof (slip 1, yarnover, yarn to front): with working yarn in front, slip the next stitch purlwise, then bring the yarn over the needle (and over the slipped stitch) then back to the front and under the needle in position to purl the following stitch.
Yf sl1yo (yarn forward, slip 1 purlwise, yarnover): bring the working yarn under the needle to the front of the work, slip the next stitch purlwise, then bring the yarn over the needle (and over the slipped stitch) to the back in position to work the following stitch.
Brk (brioche knit - also known as a bark): knit the stitch (which was slipped in the row before) together with its yarnover.
Brp (brioche purl - also known as a burp): purl the stitch (which was slipped in the row before) together with its yarn over.

Fisherman's Rib aka Shaker Rib

Fisherman’s rib pattern makes a fabric with a ribbed appearance but with more depth and softness than a standard rib. This stitch is the same on both sides.

In this tutorial we will provide you with detailed instructions on how to knit the Garter Entrelac stitch. Perfect for any self striping yarn, or you can incorporate color work, too.


Starts with 18 sts to be worked in three groups of 6, using the knitted cast-on so that stitches are loose enough to work with.

THREE BASE TRIANGLES

Row 1 (WS): K2, turn
Row 2: K2, turn
Row 3: K3, turn
Row 4: K3, turn
Row 5: K4, turn
Row 6: K4, turn
Row 7: K5, turn.
Row 8: K5, turn.
Row 9: K6, end of left triangle, do not turn.
End of base triangle one of three – start next base triangle on next stitch
Repeat Rows 1 to 9 two more to complete all three base triangles

TIER 1 - 2 Diamonds & 2 Side Triangles

+ Left Side Triangle.
Row 1 (RS): K2, turn
Row 2: K2, turn
Row 3: Kfb, SSK, turn
Row 4: K3, turn
Row 5: Kfb, k1, SSK, turn
Row 6: K4, turn

For the first diamond only, the remaining stitch from the last tier counts as 1 picked up stitch
With wrong side facing, sl 1, pick up and purl 5 sts along the selvedge edge of next triangle or diamond.
Row 1: P6, turn
Row 2: P5, p2tog, turn
Row 3: P6, turn

Pick up and purl 6 sts along the selvedge edge of the next triangle or diamond.
Repeat Rows 1 to 12 two more times to complete three middle diamonds. Once the three diamonds are done you will start tier one again.

Continue working TIERS 1 and 2 until the desired length is reached.

BIND OFF TRIANGLES
Note: Before you begin the bind off triangles the last tier you work is TIER 1.
With wrong side facing, slip 1 st, pick up and purl 5 sts along the selvedge edge of the next triangle or diamond. For the first triangle only, the st remaining counts as the first picked up stitch.
Row 1: P6, turn.
Row 2: P2tog, p3, p2tog, turn.
Row 3: P5, turn.
Row 4: P2tog, p2, p2tog, turn.
Row 5: P4, turn.
Row 6: P2tog, p1, p2tog, turn.
Row 7: P3, turn.

Woven Plait stitch is a dense stitch and pulls in considerably

With color A, cast on a multiple of 3 sts .
Row 1 (RS): With color A, knit.
Row 2 (WS): With color A, purl 3, *slip1 with yarn in front, purl 2; repeat from * to end.
Row 3: With color B, knit 2, *drop next st off needle to front of work, knit 2, then with point of left-handed needle pick up dropped st and slip it on to right-hand needle without working; repeat from * to last st, knit 1.
Row 4: With color B, * purl 2, slip1 with yarn in front; rep from * to last 3 sts, purl 3.
Row 5: With Color A, knit 1 * slip 2 with yarn in back, drop next st off needle to front of work, slip the same 2 sts back to left-hand needle, pick up dropped st on to right-hand needle without working, knit 2; repeat from * to last 2 sts, knit 2.
Repeat rows 2-5 until you have reached your desired length.
